Thoughts About Depression
Depression is such an insidious darkness that we contend with more than we like to admit. It can feel overwhelming- like drowning in a room where everyone else is breathing sort of overwhelming.
We all know the voice in our heads. The Accuser. It loves to remind us how unworthy we are, or that we aren’t our ideal self. It drives us to dark places that are scary.
When we fall prey to this voice we fail to realize that while we may not be our “ideal self” since it’s a moving target and in my opinion unobtainable, we are loved as we are right now in this moment. Our actual self. Not something we think we should be, but are.
Please know if you ever feel alone, down, depressed, or in a bad headspace, please know you can always talk to me.
You are worthy. You are loved. Right now, as you are.
