What Can Love Do?

Love is such a powerful and universal thing we all can grasp and comprehend. It can be expressed in so many forms and mediums. It really is a truly beautiful and wondrous thing.

It can also be scary. To tell a stranger you love them when you know nothing of them. When you’ve been wounded by someone you love. You don’t want to stay open and vulnerable. We cover our wounds with stone and hide behind it.

But my friends, I encourage you to come out from behind your stone and be brave and fearless. Be brave and fearless to love others with intensity. Be brave and fearless to receive that love from another. It’s hard. It’s REALLY scary. But it’s worth it, and so much more.

We don’t know what someone else is facing, or struggling with. We don’t know what someone is ashamed to tell someone else. These things can eat away at our very souls and consume us with darkness. It is those kind acts of love that hold such things at bay.

So be a loving person. Don’t be afraid to tell someone how much you love them. It could be your last day with them. It could be the last thing they hear. It might be the very words they need to hear to help fight back whatever is bringing them down.
