I Saw God in a Trans Man.
Among the trees,
the caressing breeze,
the heartbeats of two,
excitement of something new,
It was there I saw God.
I saw God in his eyes,
or was it theirs?
The eyes of hope,
longing to be loved.
That smile
was a pot reforged.
With lines of gold,
that highlighted the brokenness.
I would have admired and kissed
those beautiful lines as much as I could,
For the most loving thing
had made the brokenness
even more beautiful before.
I saw love.
I saw God.
And I wanted to love all of it,
as long as I could.
No matter what that person could be,
cis, trans, non-binary,
they are beautiful as they are
right now
and forevermore
Thank God.
